Arma 2 and 3, for me (as somebody who doesn't have the specs nor the time to play multiplayer), is one of the best single player experiences you can have, especially once you learn how to use and write SQF scripts. I know Multiplayer has fps issues but from what i have read a lot of it is server side or that the game isn't optimized for multiplayer and that single player should still give you good fps. I just bought an EVGA GTX 770 and recently started playing Arma 3.
